Friendliest staff ever - their love for Crete was infectious! The hotel was beautiful with a perfect location in amongst the pedestrianized lanes - great for exploring Rethymno. I highly recommend hiring a car and doing day trips to the south of the island - the staff recommended a few beaches and towns and they were all superb.

The hotel offers a great selection of food that was fresh. The room is perfect and fantastic with a west facing balcony, also they can offer wake-up service. It has amazing central location in an outdoor garden...

The Staff were excellent The room was clean and comfortable Location was good for walking about the Old Town and Dining out at night.
We were under the impression that we were getting a Discounted Room rate - we were not. The Breakfast was predictable and boring Having to wait for Milk for my Cereal until they had brought the coffee a two slice Toaster ?

Very friendly helpful staff. Excellent location in picturesque old town. Near to good beaches, the mountains and sites of interest.
Lack of parking. At this time of the year we could find street parking nearby, but what happens in high season? Some small quibbles...workman in room with no prior warning, nightdress taken for laundry by mistake. However both these problems were quickly sorted out with apologies. Hotel difficult to find. Better directions needed.

Really enjoyed Rethymno, the hotel was gorgeous in a church of which they sorted. We booked the standard queen room that was new-fashioned. Having a hair dryer, a walk-in shower, and bath robes was a bonus. The property had a great and wonderful location next to Centre of Byzantine Art. Moreover, it's adjacent to numerous quality restaurants and shops, a pedestrian area in Rethymnon and all the tavernas bars and shops.

Location fantastic. Staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely rooms.
The Hammam was still cold when we used it, so it wasnt overly enjoyable - think it needed to be on much longer in advance (but we were there out of season).
